Here at The Bulwell Academy, we expect the best for and of every student and this is made possible through our knowledge-rich curriculumoffer, CET Knowledge Connected Programme, our clear and concise Behaviour for Learning Policy and Attitude to Learning Rewards Programme and our excellent extra-curricular provision.We are seeking to appoint Directors of Achievement to drive improvements in academic performance through the identification and provision of appropriate academic interventions to tackle underperformance, to provide high-quality pastoral support, ensuringhigh attendance and good punctuality, and to improve the behaviour and culture of specific year groups.The role will have responsibility for devising and co-ordinating appropriate interventions for students within identified year groups whose progress is of concern and learning gaps have been identified, working with the Vice Principal and Assistant Principalfor curriculum to ensure that tuition and interventions are appropriate, overseeing the rewards and consequences system and leading the integration of SEND, safeguarding and pastoral support plans, and working with the SEND team and SENDCO to implement effectiveSEMH strategies.We are looking for candidates who have experience of working in a pastoral role within a secondary education setting who can demonstrate experience of successfully raising student academic performance and achievement and driving improvements in behaviour,culture, and attendance within a school.Applications are encouraged from ambitious candidates who share our vision and belief that all children have the ability to achieve great success.
