Job Description

Digital Content Manager Remote Based (1x day per month in office)£31,000 Base + BenefitsJob Purpose You will lead on planning, creating, and delivering effective content for the organisation. In this role, you will target a range of audiences to increase discoverability and engagement to drive support and action.Key Accountabilities

  • Content planning: You will be working with a range of stakeholders to plan and advise on effective content solutions with clear objectives in a range of formats.
  • Content development: You will need to create content across multiple channels including website, emails, and offline following the latest UX design principles.
  • Collaboration: You will be required to work closely with marcomms managers, stakeholders, insight team and other delivery teams on integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Copywriting: You will be creating, editing and proofreading offline and online content for a range of audiences.
  • Website management: You will be required to work alongside the companies Web Manager, identifying opportunities to continuously improve digital content and user experience through the development and improvement of processes, journeys,standards and best practice guides.
  • Content alignment: You will need to ensure all content is produced to the Trusts standards and guidelines including our content strategy, brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Training: You will need to manage and train junior level Digital Content Editors.
Expertise
  • Content management and website governance including use of insight tools and governance software.
  • Experience in interpreting marketing briefs and stakeholder requirements.
  • Fully confident in creating content that maximises business goals while fulfilling user needs.
  • Proven experience of writing for a range of channels in a senior capacity, fully understanding the nuances of different formats (offline and online) and audiences.
  • Practical SEO knowledge and experience in keyword research and analysis to create user-centred content.
  • Outstanding planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of user experience and how to influence audience behaviour.
  • A sound understanding of digital journeys and key touchpoints on marketing journeys.
  • Experience in digital accessibility, specifically WCAG 2.1 and production of accessible content.
  • Interest in conservation, environmental issues and the charitable sector.
Complexity
  • Communicate and present content solutions and decisions to stakeholders in an authoritative, compelling and reassuring way.
  • Increase and improve discoverability of content through SEO, keyword analysis, IA and effective web journeys.
  • Evaluate poorly performing content, identify areas for improvement and manage the page archiving process.

  • Maximise engagement and drive action across audiences through the creation of effective, optimised content and digital journeys.
  • Ensure all content is high quality and impactful and is fulfilling its objectives through analysis and review.
  • Strive for the highest editorial standards for the Trusts web assets.
  • You will inspire confidence and create excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
