Job Description

To ensure that the technical requirement/specification for the customer products and processes are first clearly understood and then translated accurately into working documents (tablet & tooling drawings) for the manufacture of component tooling. Usingall software packages, internal systems and procedures to ensure this process is expedited in an accurate and timely fashion.Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. As part of the CSG team, liaising with customers and agents to fully understand the customer requirements for the manufacture of their tablets and the tooling/machinery used for this process.
  2. Providing the technical input to the sales ordering process by liaising with the customer in designing outany potential tabletting problems to produce an optimum punch tabletting face for the highest quality tablet and trouble free production.
  3. Using the appropriate software, produce clear and accurate working drawings (tablet & tooling) to enable tooling/components to be effectively manufactured according to specification requirements.
  4. Investigating customer returns/claims to ensure continuous improvement in the design process
  5. On request produce drawings/diagrams for specification manuals and documents, marketing work and procedures.
  6. Adhere to all systems and procedures for production and quality control.
  7. Work within all Health and Safety, environmental and disciplinary guidelines.
Nature and Scope:Position holder will operate within policies and procedures, however direction will be given by the Line Manager. Initiative and ownership is essential for full accountability of this position.Key Performance Indicators:
  • Increased throughput of drawings to customer requirement and specification.
  • Reduced number of customer complaints due to incorrect drawings/specifications.
  • Reduced number of rejects/rework due to incorrect drawings/specifications.
  • Adherence to schedules.
