Deputy Manager - Supported LivingAccountable to: Registered Manager, Operations DirectorLocation: Lincoln and Nottingham, travel across various services to meet the needs of the organisation and service users.Hours of Employment: Full time - 37.5 hours per week, plus on call duties as required to meet the needs of the organisation.Organisation Overview:Our Client is currently a small, supported living provider, providing care to vulnerable adults with varying needs in their own homes. Through compassionate support, care, and education we encourage and strive to achieve positive outcomes that enable people to reach theirfull potential.Job Summary:The Deputy Manager role is a leadership position responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in managing the daily operations of the service and leading a team of team leaders, senior/support workers. The role involves providing guidance, support, andsupervision to staff, ensuring the welfare of service users. This role plays a crucial part in creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports the personal growth and development of the service users in our service.The role also entails ensuring the service works to company policy and procedure and regulation.Key Responsibilities:1. Supervision and Leadership:· Provide strong leadership to a team of support staff, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.· Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere, promoting teamwork and professional development.· Ensure staff adherence to policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.2. Service User Support and Welfare:· Ensure the well-being, safety, and positive development of all service users.· Conduct intake assessments, develop individualised support plans, and monitor service users progress.· Monitor, address and evaluate critical incidents and provide crisis intervention as needed.3. Operations Management:· Ensure homes are well-maintained, clean, and safe for service users and support staff.· Coordinate daily operations, including staff scheduling, resources allocation, and inventory management.· Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to maintain facility operations.4. Case Management and Documentation:· Supervise and assist support staff in maintaining accurate and up-to-date service user records, including progress notes and reports.· Monitor case management activities and ensure that support plans are effectively implemented.· Prepare and submit required reports to management and funding agencies.5. Advocacy:· Advocate on behalf of service users to access necessary services, benefits, and resources.· Assist residents with legal matters when needed and maintain knowledge of legal procedures.6. Staff Development:· Identify training needs and provide or facilitate training and professional development opportunities for staff.· Conduct regular supervisions, performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.7. Community Engagement:· Build and maintain positive relationships with community organisations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.· Represent the organisation at meetings, participate in networking events, and collaborate on community initiatives.As a Deputy Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and success of both service users and staff. This leadership position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to handle challenging situations.
