Job Description

Flexible, Part-Time, Dementia Friend & Companion, Job Vacancy, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. No experience needed - Award winning training provided - Car drivers essential.We are looking for naturally caring, compassionate people to join our team. With a minimum of 1-hour visits, and regular clients you will build trusting relationships, combatting loneliness for the adults in your community. We welcome applications from allage groups (no upper limit) and previous occupations. We will provide you with full training and support you along the way. Could you help Mavis* Mavis had a stroke in 2019 and thats when she was diagnosed with early stages of Dementia. It has made the things she loves doing difficult, and sometimes she cannot quite say the words shes looking for. She also had a fall earlier in the year andshes not as steady on her feet as she once was. We have made such a difference to Mavis, we enable her to remain at home in the place she loves, she feels like part of our family. She no longer feels lonely as we spend a minimum of an hour with her on eachvisit, we have the time to deliver the care and companionship she deserves. Caring in your Community If you live in the communities of Beeston, Chilwell, Stapleford, Wollaton, Long Eaton or Hucknall, or nearby surrounding areas, then we would love to welcome you to the team. Key Information

  • £10.00 - *£11.75 per hour, plus mileage & paid call to call travel time.
  • Double pay on bank holidays & day back in lieu.
  • Flexible, Part-Time Hours available between 7am - 10pm (16-30 Hours per week).
  • Alternate Weekend working.
  • GUARANTEED HOURS available for candidates with the right availability.

The Role You will be carefully matched and introduced to the clients you support. As a Dementia Friend & Companion no two days are the same you could -
  • Arrive with a smile for an early morning call.
  • Prepare breakfast and assist someone with their morning routine whilst chatting away!
  • Assisting with morning or evening routine, including toilet prompts, or bathing.
  • Prompt to take medication.
  • Going on outings, hospital visits or visiting the shops.
