Job Description

Would you like to play a key role in delivering HM Land Registrys high-profile Local Land Charges ProgrammeHM Land Registry have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join the Programme’s Implementation Team, to drive, assist and support the data migration approach for moving local authority land charges to HM Land Registrys digital register.You will work closely with Local Authority Delivery Managers and Business Analysts to provide subject matter expertise on data-related matters to deliver your responsibilities to the Migration Plan. You will also collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority, seeking their input to drive out effective solutions to complex data issues uncovered within migrations, often working within tight timescales. Furthermore, you will be required to assimilate complex and varied data to inform decisions and overcome technical challenges by proposing and implementing practical solutions.Data Manager Responsibilities:Working under the direction of the Lead Delivery Manager, you will identify solutions for the scanning, digitisation and rectification of data issues and drive out manual tasks from complex and varied data sets to inform digitisation approaches. You will work closely with Business Analysts during data discovery exercises to identify data gaps and issues and undertake feedback of data issues reports to external stakeholders. You will also create and maintain data-related documentation and report using Programme governance tools and products.You will liaise with the Data Transformation Team to inform prioritisation of manual task throughput and collaborate with HM Land Registry functions and external Migration Services suppliers, to ensure effective data migration delivery and consistency between internal and external delivery models. Furthermore, you will identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, sharing best practice within the community of Data Managers and represent the wider Local Land Charges team at internal and external events.Due to Covid-19, the role will initially be home based so an induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the Lead Delivery Manager and the wider Implementation Team.Ultimately, the role will require regular travel across England and Wales to HM Land Registry offices, local authorities and other locations to support migration activity including over-night stays, often at short notice. It is likely the post-holder will be required to work away from their home office for at least two days per week with frequent attendance at the Croydon, Nottingham and Plymouth offices.Data Manager Requirements:- In this role, you will be responsible for the successful data migration of your allocation of local authorities. You must therefore be proficient in working with data from various data formats and in data tracking, analysis and reporting to identify trends and solutions for data improvements. You will have sound experience of scoping and planning activity to create practical plans for delivery.-You will need to utilise your experience of effective cross-functional delivery of development projects and managing multiple stakeholder groups with competing interests.
