Full-time (37 hours) and Term-Time + 2 weeks (41 weeks)7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday September 2022 startThe Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. The role will be varied and demanding, at times fast-paced, and very student-focused, sowe are looking for someone who is energetic, enjoys data and systems, has experience of organising cover in a secondary school (or a similar setting) and is ultimately great with people.The Information Team is small, consisting of just two people, but now needs extra capacity as the team starts to grow. The main part of this role is to manage cover for the Academy, which is an essential part of supporting the successful education of our1,100 students. It is anticipated that this part of the role will take up most of the first half of the day (depending on the demands of the day), the remainder of the day being dedicated to the student data on our new cloud-based MIS. There will also be opportunitiesto learn much more due to a part of the role being supporting the Team as needed, especially around busy times, like examinations and data collection points.We are ideally looking for people who have experience of doing cover in a school or have good experience of working with an MIS, preferably in a secondary setting, and are competent in understanding staff timetables and the demands of a school day. Thiswill mean the successful candidate can really hit the ground running in September and focus on getting to know our staff teams and the context of the school instead of starting from scratch - which would be our preferred position. There will be support availablefor specific training, especially around our new MIS, Arbor, alongside working within a strong and experienced team who will support and advise as needed.
