Substantive Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - expertise in Head and Neck Cancer and Microvascular Reconstruction.This is a replacement full time post for a Substantive Consultant to support a busy regional unit which is expanding. The post is mainly based at the Queen’s Medical Centre campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. It also involves clinics at Sherwood Forest NHS trust.It is expected that you are flexible in terms of operating lists and that you may be asked to undertake additional Programmed Activities. The initial job is planned at 10 PAs. Candidates who wish to apply as part of a job share arrangement will also be considered.The unit provides regional head and neck services for Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Forest and Lincolnshire. You will be part of our team and it is expected that you will bring expertise in the development and provision of new services and share the long term vision of the Head and Neck Unit.The unit has established an exemplary perioperative assessment and rehabilitation services. You are joining a comprehensive reconstruction practice.MFDS/FDS and FRCS qualification with inclusion on the specialist list, CCT expected within 6 months of interview date, full GDC and GMC registration are essential.
