Reed Education are currently working alongside a specialist provision based in Nottinghamshire who are currently looking to recruit a Computer Science specialist Teacher on a long term basis, with the potential to become permanent.About the School;The school is an ASD and SEMH specialist provision for students between the ages of 11-18. With a small cohort, the school has an established and experienced team in place to support students with both their academic and mental health development. The school aims are simple and based around the nurturing of their pupils. By creating an environment of mutual respect between all staff and pupils, relationships are held as a priority and pupils are able to flourish.About the role;The school are looking for a Computer Science specialist to join their team, delivering Computer Science to their KS3-4 students, with learning levels reflective of KS2-3. You must have experience working with young people with SEND requirements including; SEMH and ASD. Being restraint/de-escalation trained is preferred due to the challenging behaviours displayed by the cohort.Due to limited positive experiences of traditional classroom environments, some of the cohort join the school with reading and numeracy levels below their expected levels. The school are looking for a strong and engaging teacher to implement creative and stimulating lessons and activities that allow the students to explore through play and encourage them to get involved.The ideal candidate will be able to;
