Job Description

Compliance OfficerAn exciting position has become available for A Compliance Officer to join a friendly team in Beeston, Nottingham. The appointed candidates salary will be dependent on skills and experience, between £24,000 and £29,000 and they will be working 35 hoursper week to be agreed under company flexible working policy, but generally expected to be Mondays to Fridays and between 8.00am and 7.00pm.The Main aim of the role is to provide oversight covering operational risk and operational resilience, governance conduct and reputational risk, AML and financial crime and compliance for Kingdom Bank.Remote working arrangements by agreement in accordance with the Banks flexible working policy. There is an expectation of at least two office-based days per week for this role.The Ideal Candidate:

  • A postgraduate degree in finance, accounting or similar field
  • At least 7 years experience in finance operations (finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis) or related experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience on improving finance processes, risk and controls.
  • Experience with documenting and flowcharting business processes, in particular finance processes.
  • Experience writing policies and procedures required.
  • Experience mapping and analysing processes required
  • Experience with international, complex, matrixed organizations required
  • Experience with aspects of federal cost reimbursement practices, such as the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and USAID regulations strongly desirable.
Duties Include:
  • Provide oversight on operational risk (including operational resilience), governance conduct and reputational risk, AML and financial crime and compliance, leveraging knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practice risk management.
  • Undertake reviews as detailed with the Compliance Assurance Plan.
  • Policy Management.
  • Proactively monitor: complaints, training adherence across the Bank
  • Proactively highlight key risks and issues, highlighting how these are being managed.
  • Provide reports as required to display performance against key indicators and regulatory compliance on risk-based approach.
  • Undertake horizon scanning and review Prudential updates from Regulators.
  • Support CRO in conduct and financial reviews.
