Job Description

CNC OperatorLocation: NottinghamPay: £13.50 / £17.00/hr (depending on skill sets)Hours:Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30Friday 08:00 to 15:30CNC Operator - Overview

  • Setting up and operating a selection of CNC machines, mainly HAAS and DMG with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls with precision parts for the Aviation industry.
  • Fully conversant reading third angle projection drawings working to the tolerances required.
  • Verify the work produce can meet quality and technical standards through 1st off processes and self-inspection.
  • Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary.
  • Identify tooling solutions for both cutting and fixturing as needed.
  • Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the CNC path, featuring and tooling information.
  • Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilizing root cause and analysis tools.
  • Sharing knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.
  • Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations.
  • Good Housekeeping with some 5S experience essential.
CNC Operator - Job Requirements:
  • At least 1 years experience of 3 axis and 5 axis operator and setter experience
  • Experience with Heidenhain & Fanuc controls a distinct advantage
  • Team Player with the ability to work alone and use own initiative with minimum supervision.
