Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to set and operate at their modern manufacturing site in Nottingham on a rotating morning and afternoon shift. You will be responsible for operating and setting a CNC Milling machine usingMazatrol controls.Benefits:

  • £35k to £40k salary dependent on skillset + 10% Shift for afternoon shifts
  • 5% company Bonus Scheme
  • 25 Days Holidays plus bank holidays

Shifts:
  • Mornings = Mon to Thurs 6am to 2pm and Fri 6am – 1pm (1st week)
then
  • Afternoons = Mon to Thurs 2pm to 10pm and Fri 1pm to 8pm (2nd week)
Key responsibilities of CNC Miller Setter / Operator:
  • Set and operate CNC Milling machine within your Cell.
  • Adjust controls via Mazatrol and tool settings to keep part dimensions within specified tolerances
  • Work from CAD designs and specifications to complete various machining operations using information such as dimensions, tolerances, quantities and any special instructions
  • Create, set and document work holding process
  • Select correct tooling
  • Design and manufacture fixtures
  • Responsible for own quality using CMM and shadowgraph machines
  • Participate in Lean / Six Sigma activities and other process improvement activities as required
CNC Miller Setter / Operator Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret drawings
  • Working knowledge of CNC milling machines and ability to set up tooling on the machines
  • Experienced with 4 or 5 axis twin pallet milling machines (ideally Mazak)
  • Ability to use simple gauges or instruments
  • Working knowledge of maths in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience of working with Mazatrol controlled CNC machinery
  • Ideally have ISO programming knowledge
