Job Description

Job Title: Cloud ArchitectLocation: NottinghamSalary: £55,000 to £65,000Job Type: PermanentJob Reference: LH10076Our clients developers impact millions of people every day through their range of software systems. They are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps architect to join their Architecture team.The person will need to have 2+ years of commercial experience with Azure, who can demonstrate a real passion for cloud architecture, with a flexible and creative attitude, good communication skills and a strong work ethic.Working within an existing team that is focused on creating a scalable and resilient cloud hosting model, the individual will have a workload covering (but not limited to):

  • Developing and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Automation of infrastructure and software rollout
  • Performance analysis and tuning
  • Security reviews and risk mitigation
  • Maintaining high availability of services
  • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and advising how they can be used to improve the existing architecture
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Understanding of cloud architecture concepts and best practise
  • Experience with building resilient and fault tolerant solutions
  • Building secure networked solutions
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps
  • Excellent C# skills
  • A thorough understanding of Azure components. Key areas:
o Service Bus topics and subscriptionso Event Hubo Azure Functionso Cosmos DBo Containerisationo Networkingo ARM Templateso Azure SQL
  • Familiarity with patterns used to create scalable and resilient integration solutions
  • An understanding of securing data exchange over wide area networks
  • A proven track record of delivering successful projects
Advantageous:
  • Health Care and Clinical systems
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • Developed high availability multi-user system
  • Microsoft certification(s) in Azure

  • Able to work well as an individual and as part of a team
  • Take part in architectural discussions with technical / non-technical team members
  • Able to self-manage and self-motivate
  • An eye for detail, well-organised and a desire to adhere to best practices
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Have a desire to keep up with the latest tools and techniques
  • Passion about your craft and love of sharing knowledge
  • An inquisitive mind and a dogged determination to solve complex problems
