Job Description

Engineering role with a private developer in the Midlands, seeking an engineer hoping to gain more autonomy and experience to run schemes from inception to completion.Client DetailsFabulous opportunity with a luxury developer who spare no cost when it comes to attention to detail. Delivering circa 300units across the Midlands. Highly experienced team with a wealth of knowledge that is pooled together in order to best maximise a schemes potential.DescriptionJoining as Engineer, you will report into the Development Manager and play a critical role in progressing residential schemes from outline planning through build to completion. Typical duties will include:

  • Coordinating consultants in the procurement of technical information.
  • Appraise consultant technical designs and seek to improve cost efficiencys where required, without compromising its technical integrity.
  • As and when, collate technical information as required in order to support land teams with site viability.
  • Ensuring that all S38, S104 and S278 Agreements are in place prior to site start and completed through to adoption in a timely manner.
  • Making site visits to support with technical aspects of a build.
  • Discharge outstanding NHBC Engineering Conditions.
  • To prepare CDM pre-tender information for the commercial department.
  • ProfileTo be successful for this position you will have 3+ years experience working within the residential sector, either directly for a volume developer or from within consultancy. You will have a good understanding and appreciation of the various stages involved from an engineering perspective in residential design including (but not limited to):
  • Process of securing S38, S278, S104
  • Discharging planning and NHBC conditions
  • Proven experience in resolving technical queries whilst on site
  • What you are critiquing consultants drawings on
  • Strong communication skills are also require as you will be required to frequent meet with various stakeholders throughout.
