CHISVA (Child Independent Sexual Violence Adviser)We are looking for individuals who are flexible, responsive and passionate about supporting recovery to children and young people who have been affected by child sexual abuse, and who are excited to work with our small team supporting our beliefs and values.You will support children, young people and families after a disclosure of child sexual abuse has been made to police. Working in a flexible and responsive way with both adults and children to deliver professional, emotional and practical support that meets their individual needs throughout the Criminal Justice Process.Child Independent Sexual Violence Adviser Responsibilities:You will work with children and teenagers who have disclosed child sexual abuse. You will take referrals from the East Midlands Children and Young People Sexual Assault Service and will offer a non-therapeutic service to the child and their safe family members. You will make a risk and needs assessment, create an individualised action plan and provide guidance through the Criminal Justice Process, offering advocacy to ensure that their recovery is facilitated, and they are helped to engage with other organisations. You will support Imara in the development and delivery of the early intervention service. You will be required to travel throughout Nottinghamshire to offer outreach work to children and teenagers and will be based in Nottingham City.About you:- Qualified to degree level or equivalent- Completion of an accredited professional ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Adviser) course or experience working as a trainee ISVA- Safeguarding training and experience- Own transport and holds valid driving licence and business insurance- Minimum of two-year’s experience holding your own caseload in a child and family setting would be desirableAbout IMARA:Are you passionate about empowering victims/survivors to recover from the impact of child sexual abuse Could you be the right person to join Imara We are a small, innovative charity working in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support children, teenagers and safe family members who have been affected by child sexual abuse and following successful bids for grant funding and tendering opportunities.Position: CHISVA (Child Independent Sexual Violence Adviser)Location: The post will be based at Imara premises in Nottingham City Centre but you will be required to travel to support clients throughout Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and to work from home for a large proportion of the week.Job Type: 19-37.5 per week, dependent upon applicantsSalary: £23,500 - £24,000 full time, per annum, dependent upon ISVA qualificationBenefits: They offer an opportunity of working with a small friendly committed group of practitioners, finance manager and project co-ordinators.
