Job Description

Category Buyer (Frozen Foods Category) - Nottingham - £35,000 - £45,000pa + BenefitsChase & Holland are excited to be working with an award-winning business who are looking to recruit a driven, self-motivated Category Buyer to look after the Frozen Foods Category within their friendly procurement team based in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable business on a permanent basis.Category Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Building and managing effective relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiating best price and maintaining a broad and relevant range
  • Conducting range reviews, promotional plans and setting category strategy
  • Having responsibility for ordering, availability, and stockholding
  • Adjusting and managing orders in line with demands and scheduled changes
  • Supporting with overall stock management by reviewing demand versus supply
  • Identifying as well as reporting slow moving and obsolete stocks
  • Using Customer service skills to maintain excellent supplier relationships
    • Hours:Full time 08:00 - 17:30Required skills & Experience:
  • At least 2 years’ experience Category Management experience - preferably within Frozen Foods
  • Ability to control and deliver KPI’s ; Sales, Profit, Availability
  • Data literate
  • Be able to work on own initiative and be adaptable
  • Confidence working as part of a team and independently
  • Retail or Wholesale experience
  • Supply Chain understanding including demand planning and forecasting
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills
