Job Description

C#.NET Software Engineer - .NET CoreLocation - Nottingham - Hybrid - 2 days per week on-siteSalary - £55,000 to £65,000 (dependant on experience)Applause IT are partnering with a company who lead the sector in graphic design, photo editing and desktop publishing, based in Nottingham and looking to add to their development team. They are seeking an ambitious C#.NET Software Engineer to join theirmodern creative hub and work alongside like minded individuals - all passionate about the software they produce.Utilising your experience with C# and .NET Core you will be collaborating with cross functional teams to design, produce and implement back end solutions including APIs, web services, systems, workflows and tooling to support their suite of software products.You will be an integral part of the design and implementation of microservices and event driven architectures - all with the aim of improving the scalability and availability of their systems. There will also be a push toward serverless development usingAWS - embracing IaaC principles using Cloud Formation.To be successful in the C#.NET Software Engineer role you will need:

  • Using C# to develop APIs and service layer components
  • Experience working in cloud hosted environments utilising AWS or Azure
  • Previous experience working with microservices and event driven architectures
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases - e.g. DynamoDB
  • Experience with IaaC - Infrastructure as Code - approach with tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
  • Knowledge of Git or similar for Version Control
It would be beneficial if you had experience with:
  • Golang or TypeScript
  • Cloud-based systems development
