Job Description

Job Title: Behaviour MentorLocation: Nottingham City Job Type: Full-timeStart date - January 2024 I am recruiting on behalf of a Primary School who is dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join the team. The school is committed to supportingthe well-being and development of every student, and the Behaviour Mentor plays a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive atmosphere.As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students to provide guidance, support, and interventions to help manage and improve their behaviour. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to create individualised plans andstrategies. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students facing behavioural challenges.Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans, collaborating with teachers and support staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing positive behaviour strategies in the classroom.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to create a holistic support network for students.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops or training sessions on behaviour management for staff and parents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with students with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
