Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a BAME Specialist on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Nottingham. For further information about this position please apply.Job Title : Domestic Abuse Survivor Advocacy - BAME SpecialistLocation: NottinghamHours: Full time 37 hoursType: 6 month contractSalary: £25,000 annuallyIndustry: Domestic ViolenceKey Responsibilities

  • To provide a proactive service to women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethniccommunities who have been assessed at being at risk of domestic violence and abuse.
  • Work closely with survivors, carrying out risk and needs assessments to develop and implement a structured individual safety plan, ensuring that all cultural/religious considerations are recognised and accommodated.
  • Advocate on behalf of women with external agencies including where appropriate MARAC, courts, housing, children and adult social care, health and other voluntary and community organisations.
