Job Description

Role: Automation software testerHybrid working - 2 days in the Nottingham office (J25 of M1) and 3 days from homePermanent roleExcellent benefits including competitive starting salary, relaxed and friendly working environment and most importantly, the opportunity to develop and grow with the company.We are looking to strengthen a growing team with an experienced Automation Tester. This is a permanent position within a small, dynamic development teamto test a new software platform, ensuring satisfying user interaction and fulfilment. This applicationwill be utilised by multiple clients around the globe. You will work alongside the QA team to test this cloud-based application.This is a great opportunity to join a specialised development house who produce applications for the steel fabrication and machinery industries from a small, friendly and highly skilled team across multiple disciplines.What you will be doing:

  • Adding, executing and maintaining C#, Selenium UI automation tests
  • Adding, executing and maintaining RestSharp API automation tests
  • Establish baselines for application performance testing, continually monitor and review
  • Understanding requirements, identifying automation test cases
  • Working closely with stakeholders and QA Lead to provide extensive automation coverage
  • Contribute to the ongoing departmental improvements in procedures and automation
Technologies Used:
  • C# and ASP.Net Core, Visual Studio, GIT, PostGre SQL, Dynamo, Amazon web services, WPF, Javascript / HTML
  • Selenium, Rest Sharp, NUnit
  • JIRA, Fresh Desk
What we are looking for:
  • Experience of functional testing web, mobile and desktop applications
  • Skilled in Postman, Swagger or RestSharp (desirable), in-depth knowledge of API testing
  • Experience in the use of Selenium WebDriver with a C# focus
  • A passion for solving complex problems and the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Strong communicator, able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to self-organise and prioritise work accordingly
  • Understanding and experience in the Agile methodologies, performance and security testing
