Job Description

Bridgeway Consulting is staffed by highly qualified experienced rail engineers and since 1995, has become an industry leader in what is one of the UKs most safety conscious and strictly regulated industries. Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineeringconsultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Site and Ground Investigations, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolationsand Cable Theft Security.We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join Bridgeway Consulting at our office in Nottingham.About the Role

  • Help to provide management and delivery for Structures Examination contracts on behalf of Network Rail.
  • Client facing duties, including management and progress reporting.
  • Work closely with Programme Managers and the Planning team to ensure that an achievable programme is produced and met.
  • Work closely with the wider management team to develop and understanding and competence in delivering all aspects of Examination works.
Duties
  • Project management and reporting of assigned work.
  • Cost management and commercial reporting.
  • Working closely with Bridgeway Project and Resource Managers, to allocate staff in conjunction with clients programmes.
  • Production of site specific documentation, including WPPs, TBS and RAMs.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers to plan and organize safe and efficient operations.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including 3rd party landowners to arrange access.
Essential skills and Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Graduate, or aspiring Manager working within the rail field.
  • Evidence of working within diverse groups, motivation and leadership, and strong and approachable communication skills.
  • Preferably an understanding of the constraints of working in the rail environment, and background in Civil Engineering activities.
  • Current or previous rail Safety Critical and access experience preferable.
  • Able and keen to undertake railway specific training courses, and with a "hands on" attitude to work.
