Job Description

Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineeringconsultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Site and Ground Investigations, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolationsand Cable Theft Security.We have a new opportunity for an Assistant Programme Manager to join Bridgeway Consulting LtdRole Purpose

  • Based within the wider Bridgeway Engineering Team in the South of England (ideally based in Kent/East Sussex).
  • Provide programme management and delivery tracking for Rail Asset Examination programmes, largely based around complex viaducts.
  • Drive, monitor and analyse overall contract performance with regards to delivery and technical functions.
  • Subcontract and supplier management
  • Monitoring of staff welfare, working times, and development
  • Commercial and programme management, including commercial change management
Key Accountabilities Programme management of logistics for examination and inspection projects
  • Reporting on progress of assigned work, and providing support to the wider management team.
  • Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure relevant planning, documentation, and checks are present and carried out prior to every field based activity.
Development of an annual programme of works, and managing change to planned work.
  • Reporting to Senior Management on progress, blockers and mitigations.
Ensure that project deliverables are allocated and tracked in line with programme requirements. Monitor the competence of the delivery team working on projects and provide functional guidance, direction and briefing.Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.The successful candidate will have:Essential
  • A demonstrable organised mindset, able to liaise efficiently with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Proven track record of programme management
  • Previous experience of managing works within constrained and high pressure environments.
  • Sentinel competencies including PTS and COSS
  • The ability to integrate well within a diverse team
Preferable
  • Proven track record of programme management
  • Full understanding of the principles of asset management
  • Understanding of Examination and Inspection processes and outputs
  • People management experience
  • Rail Sentinel competencies including PTS and COSS
