Our client has been one of the best performing businesses over the past 12 months in their sector and they have further growth plans ongoing. Please note that thisrole is a permanent opportunity.My client, based in Nottinghamshire, are growing massively and due to their growth they are recruiting a brand new Assistant Merchandising Manager opportunity which will join their growing merchandising function. Please note that this role is equivalent toa Junior Merchandiser in other similar businesses.As the Assistant Merchandising Manager, your main responsibility is to help drive sales and profitability.Other key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for running regular category reporting and analysis and working closely with the buying teams to select the right ranges
  • You will develop strong relationships with suppliers and liaise with the warehouse team to maintain all elements of the critical path.
  • You will be responsible for updating the WSSI and forecasting and managing essential product lists to ensure availability is maintained at all times.
  • Creating and implementing the category plan for the delegated category product range that meets the commercial performance requirements.
  • Providing accurate information to inform and challenge the Buyers decisions, using category management tools, on the purchasing/stock management/trading of the delegated category product range.
