Job Description

My client are a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, supply, commissioning and service of switchgear. Due to ongoing demand, they are looking to bring on board an Applications Engineer to ensure contractual obligations are met. The ideal candidatewill be electrically qualified, be experienced working on switchgear and have excellent communication ability. You must also be based within commutable distance of Nottingham.Applications Engineer Position Overview

  • Design and project management of Package substations and process control systems
  • Liaising with customers to gather their technical specifications
  • Working closely with the Works Supervisor to ensure labour is allocated efficiently. This is so that delivery and production dates set out by contracts are met.
  • Assisting in the creation and presentation of commercially attractive sales proposals and tendering documentation
  • Carrying out purchasing duties
  • Compiling data for the financial department
  • Undertaking site meetings and surveys
Applications Engineer Position Requirements
  • Electrical qualifications are ideal, however relevant experience also considered
  • Experience working on electrical switchgear systems essential
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or equivalent software
  • Confident using Word and Excel
  • Excellent planning and organisational ability
  • Based within commutable distance of Nottingham
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Applications Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £35,000 - £42,000
  • Hours Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:00
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • On site parking
  • Pension
