Anti-Social Behaviour OfficerNottingham£26,502 - £31,269 per annumFull Time (35 hours per week)Fixed Term until 31 August 2021Our client is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region they manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 950,000 hours of care and support each year.They understand this role wont be the right one for many. You will be working within a small team dealing with the most serious instances of crime and anti-social behaviour perpetrated by tenants of the association. The role is based from their Nottingham office and will be dealing with cases predominantly in the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire areas, although travel to Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire can also be expected.You’ll be working from the home/office but will also spend a considerable amount of time visiting tenants in their homes, working alone or with other colleagues if necessary. You will be managing a diverse caseload of ASB investigations which will involve the recording of reports; interviewing victims, witnesses and alleged offenders; completing witness statements, warning letters and other paperwork and preparing documents for legal proceedings. Additionally you will be providing advice and support to colleagues from the Estates Team dealing with their own ASB caseload of less serious incidents. You will also be responsible for assisting tenants that are survivors of Domestic Abuse as well as managing requests for access to the many CCTV cameras on their estates.Their core values underpin everything they do. Their Anti-Social Behaviour Officer will embed these values in your day-to-day role, being passionate about supporting and influencing people whilst being firm enough to take enforcement action when needed and work with other agencies in the community. You will have considerable experience in a housing environment, with the ability to manage complex ASB cases following their approach and using their systems. You will have strong communication skills to not only work effectively and efficiently with your team, but also with other departments and most importantly with their customers. Some early morning or evening work can be expected and there is currently an ongoing review of the ASB Team which may result in the formalisation of evening work.
