Job Description

Activity Coordinator Community based across Nottingham City £22,571 - £24,920 per annum Permanent 37 hours As an Activities coordinator with Nottingham City Homes you will work towards developing a range of innovative, diverse and inclusive activities which promote independence and reduce social isolation and loneliness for our tenants.The person: The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the needs of older and vulnerable people and a genuine interest in promoting independence and reducing isolation. You will have good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectivelyat all levels with a range of customers.The duties:

  • Proactive working with external agencies and voluntary bodies to generate sustainable activities within Independent Living schemes.
  • Liaise and consult with tenants to deliver new and engaging tenant led activities by working with NCH colleagues, partner organisations and voluntary groups
  • Actively engage and promote tenant activities by publishing a programme of events and sharing relevant community groups and Nottingham City Events
  • Proactive working with the Independent Living Coordinators to identify schemes which may have a higher prevalence of social isolation and isolation
  • To comply with and work within all NCH policies, procedures and guidelines, to comply with Data Protection and safeguarding legislation and NCH policy on maintaining personal information and client confidentiality.
  • You will be required to work as part of the wider independent living services team and support the service where necessary
You must be flexible and be prepared to work outside of agreed days and times on occasion according to the needs of the service and you will be willing to work at other office locations as required.This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) check.
