Do you want a role where you can put into practice all the things youve learnedWe are looking to for a 3rd line Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our growing IT team. In this role youll be helping to administer our predominantly Microsoft Server Infrastructure, across multiple sites. Youll get involved in BAU maintenance, software/firmwareupgrades, and patching on server infrastructure and networking equipment.Youll also be a point of escalation for incident and problem tickets from the ServiceDesk, so you will have excellent diagnostic skills as they may range from printing issues, to more complex issues that require group policy amendments. Wed love it ifyou were able to spot trends of escalations and help our 1st/2nd line analysts to be able to resolve these themselves over time.Youll also assist with monthly security scans and help implement the remediation of any identified CVEs, as well as getting heavily involved with ongoing and upcoming projects.Whys this a great opportunityIts a good time to join the team, as we were embarking on a journey to migrate the majority of our services from on-premise to cloud based infrastructure.Theres a huge focus on projects too. Youll play a huge part in these, supporting the IT Manager with infrastructure projects like our Office 365 migration, and supporting the rollout of Cisco Meraki thats also underway.Its not just about supporting; well be looking for you to make recommendations on new technologies and improvement opportunities.Youll not be line managing anybody in this role, but youll be coaching and developing 1st/2nd line ServiceDesk analysts and promote knowledge sharing through documentation and the creation of KB articles.Youll mostly be working remotely, with 1 day a week in the head office with the team - so youll need to be within travelling distance of our Nottingham Head Office (NG8 6PZ), and will occasionally need to visit our clinics should the need arise.About you:Youre a 3rd Line Support Analyst, Technical Support/ Infrastructure Engineer with a great amount of IT knowledge gained from working in a Microsoft Windows Server environment, focusing on server and network equipment.Youve got excellent diagnostic skills and youre able to analyse problems and identify the root cause, then implement appropriate solutions. Youve got a good understanding and experience of working with hypervisors, ideally VMware vSphere.You have experience of Office 365 migration. Youve had exposure to switch configuration, firewall configuration, as well as IP based phone systems.
