Both 999 and 111 are vital parts of this service, giving urgent support and guidance to patients. As a result of service expansionacross England, there are now several exciting Call Handler opportunities for both 999 (Emergency) and 111 (Urgent).All roles will have a starting salary of at least £20,330 (London £24,228) per annum (additional pay incentives after completion of training, and enhanced rates are available, but these are dependent on location and shift patterns).Where are roles availableBedford, Norwich, Chelmsford, Wakefield, Rotherham, Newcastle, Nottingham, Lincoln, Exeter, Bristol, London (Waterloo, Bow, Barking, Croydon), Otterbourne , Winchester, Bicester, and Milton KeynesTraining and Support for youA fully accredited training programme will provide you with the skills to use the computer triage system to respond to calls, as well as gaining an understanding of basic anatomy, physiology and recognition of life-threatening conditions, as appropriate.What roles are available999 - Emergency Call HandlersEmergency Call Handlers are the first point of contact, answering emergency and urgent care calls for people calling the 999 service.111 - Call Handler (Health Advisor)As a 111 Call Handler (Health Advisor) you will be the first point of contact with patients, patients relatives, healthcare professionals and other callers.Role RequirementsTo be successful in either of these roles, you will need to be able to:
