Summary We have an exciting opportunity to lead a team of welcome staff and volunteers across the portfolio, the role will be based at both Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park.As Welcome Manager, youll head up the staff & volunteer team, on nominated weekends and bank holidays, to welcome our visitors and help them enjoy their visit.Hours: 37.5 per week (5 days a week)Duration: This is a Fixed-Term contract from March until 31-Oct-2022Please submit both a CV and Cover Letter to apply for this role. What its like to work here In collaboration with two other Welcome Managers youll be leading a team of around twelve professional and passionate Welcome and Service Assistants as well as a team of Welcome and Fundraising volunteers. Youll receive high quality training to support you in delivering your role with continued development opportunities.Youll be based at the popular Felbrigg Hal, which is one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia and Sheringham Park, a beautiful Humphry Repton designed parkland. The close-knit team, friendly people and location make for a great place to work. What youll be doing Youll have overall responsibility for the team, and their safety and working practices, working closely with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to develop the site offer.As the most senior person on site, youll lead and empower your team to respond to customer enquiries and site issues and be the face of the National Trust. Youll be experienced in managing people, delivering outstanding customer service and leading onrisk management. Youll be responsible for setting the strategic direction for property fundraising and leading a team of bookshop volunteers.Youll have responsibility for the day to day operation of the welcome area and ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using sound judgement and decision making, in line with National Trust guidelines and policies.
