Job Description

Outstanding OpportunityWarehouse and Operational Support ManagerLocation NorwichWorking within a fast paced fast moving technology centre in Norwich, you will be the lead and ambassador the logistics team across the site supporting the operations customer service delivery.Your primary areas of responsibility are Goods In/Out, Warehouse, Booking In & Dispatch and Stores (inventory).Through your supervisory team, you will manage the day-to-day activities within the areas listed above whilst maintaining the highest level of integrity.Your role in essence is to deliver robust processes that move stock from the warehouse to their intended destination in a controlled secure manner, through your teams, adhering to security procedures during the journey. And to demonstrate responsibilityand accountability within the areas to service the operational teams.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Goods in/out, Warehouse

  • To ensure the integrity of customer owned stock is maintained, putting in place and managing robust and secure processes for goods-in acceptance from couriers.
  • To control and sign off the receipt of all goods arriving into the business in line with recently enhanced security measures.
  • To control and sign off the release of all goods leaving the business in line with recently enhanced security measures.
  • To maintain a fully itemised record of all pallets and goods in the warehouse area.
  • Maintain correct waste and shipment documentation as required by our waste carriers and transport partners.
  • An Organised and itemised compliant work environment is essential.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization is maximised.
  • Area must always be tidy and audit standard
  • A safe environment where employees always maintain/follow strict health and safety guidelines
Stores
  • To lead the Stores/Inventory team in all aspects of Inventory activities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts to the operational teams in line with internal timing targets.
  • Management of the stock booking in, DOA/MRC parts returns within the relevant timeframes.
  • Working closely with our materials manager to accurately report stock levels through PI counts and full stock takes to ensure quantities are maintained to support production.
  • Work closely with security and the operational business leads to investigate / resolve any stock discrepancies and implement changes as required.
Booking in / Dispatch
  • Manage department to deliver the booking in and dispatch services to the Operational teams within the agreed KPI time frame to ensure overall customer delivery.
  • Utilising staff in an efficient manner through all departments to maintain a flexible workforce.
  • Fallout managementto ensure fall out is minimised and a pro-active approach is taken to quarantine devices as appropriate.
  • Aligning processes and clear areas of responsibility, particularly with fallout management which maybe specific to our customer needs.
Key responsibilities.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
  • Manage performance of staff through supervisory structure
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly
SKILLS REQUIRED: Communication,Team working,Initiative,Problem Solving,Self-Development,Planning and Organising,Product Management,MS Office, Outlook, PowerPointHealth and Safety minded,Resource Planning especially for cycle and full counts.Accurate and adaptable.Critical-thinking skills you will need to devise plans of action and assess those plans regularly.There will be multiple requirements from multiple customers with many moving parts.
