Job Description

Do you care about young people and wish you could create a voice for them in the community that really gets heardArchant in partnership with Facebook has a 12-month opportunity for someone to really make a difference to young people and become a Community News Reporter.You will be working throughout Norwich absorbing yourself in the right networks, groups and organisations where you can meet and understand the ideas, concerns and issues that young people have. You would then create great content to enable the wider community to understand and listen to their voice.You will be someone who builds rapport easily with this age group and encourages them to create their own content whether written or using video to highlight their concerns and create their own voice using our network of print and digital publications that include the EDP & Norwich Evening News.Facebook regularly provide you with training, mentoring and think camps to share ideas and support you on this journey. You would also be linked into a route that gave you a junior journalism qualification which would take place on-line over one or two days a week.Previous journalism experience or education is not essential but you will have a passion and genuine interest in this area. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday from our offices in Norwich.SALARY, BONUS & BENEFITS
