Toolroom Engineer- NorwichToolroom Engineer to join a large manufacturing company based in Norwich. The successful Toolroom Engineer would join on a double days shift pattern, working Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:00 one week and 15:00 - 23:00 the following week. This is a great opportunity for a Toolroom Engineer (Mechanical) to work in a company who have recently come under a lot of investment, with training and progression opportunities available.Company Profile:An industry leader within product design capabilities across all conversion technologies. They strive for excellence and innovation to compete as leaders within the competitive packaging industry.The successful Toolroom Engineer will be flexible and a participate as a team player. You will responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairing injection moulds within the toolroom. An element of the Toolroom Engineer will include general machining, TIG welding, mechanical maintenance & fitting.Roles & Responsibilities:- General machining (turning, milling & grinding)- Working with CNC & Injection Moulding machines- Checking tolerances on parts to make sure they are within specification. Using CMM measuring equipment, micrometres, callipers, slips and gauges, microscopes and cameras to achieve standard specification.- Ensuring hydraulic and pneumatic systems on tools are functioning correctly- Diagnosing faults using measuring equipment- Repair broken cavities, and carry out fabrication work including raising heights on machines and making electrical boxesSalary: Up to £35,000Shifts: Monday - Friday (07:00 - 15:00 / 15:00 - 23:00)Benefits: Subsidised staff canteen, on site medical and complimentary health services, contributory (matched) pension, life insurance and parking etc
