Job Description

Due to expansion, an exciting temporary position has become available for a Purchasing Assistant to join a friendly Manufacturer based in Norwich, Norfolk. The main purpose of the role will be to support in the procurement of materials and services for theBusiness itself.Tasks will include:

    • Administration support to Buyers.
    • Placing daily purchase orders.
    • Reviewing supplier purchase orders and action reschedules or cancellations as needed.
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that they understand the business needs, specifically in terms of on time delivery and quality.
Chase outstanding certification and documentation to uphold the QA process.Check stock or receipt levels match goods invoiced.Support the procurement function with other general administration tasks as needed.Ideally youll have:
    • Previous experience working within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
    • Desirably experience with SAP, Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Be someone who is meticulous and always follow tasks through to completion in a timely manner.
Have a proactive approach and the ability to use own initiative.The company are a specialist special purpose machinery manufacturer and their products are well know worldwide.
