Job Description

Support Worker VacanciesService type: Supported Living Service for Adults with Learning DisabilitiesLocation/s: Sprowston, NorwichHourly rate: £10.07 per hourContract type: Permanent, Full-Time, Part-Time, and Zero-hour contracts availableIndependence Matters mission is to empower individuals, their families, and carers, to live the lives they choose and remain independent. Please visit our website to find out more about us.Norwich Supported Living service supports customers with learning and physical disabilities, from ages 28-83 in their own homes. They all have their own tenancies, and staff support them with everything a person would need to manage within their own homesand lives. Promoting their independence and growing within their abilities as much as possible.The service supports 21 customers, in 3 separate supported living settings. Each location has great staff teams that we are looking to expand on, supported by two Team Managers and a Registered Service Manager. The houses are easy to get to with great busroutes and plenty of parking at each site.Some key tasks and responsibilities required for the role include personal care, domestic chores, support with finances, meal planning and cooking, shopping, maintaining relationships with friends and family and accessing activities in the community, bothrecreational and educational. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check with adult barred list and relevant compliance checks.
