Job Description

Are you looking for a new part time position We are looking for a stockroom assistant to join a well-established team and business in the Norwich area due to a retirement in the business.Hours: 24 hours per week.There is some flexibility with the hours of the role.For example:Monday - Friday: 9:00 - 14:00orMon, Weds & Fri: 8 - 4:30 / 9 - 5:30Pay: £12 - £14 per hour.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure shelves and displays are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
  • Unloading stock from delivery vans and lorries, some physical attributes required.
  • Arranging deliveries and tracking down stock.
  • Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.
  • Submitting details to internal databases.
  • Placing orders to replenish merchandise as required.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management.
Skills & experience:
  • Proven work experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Knowledge of / interest in IT hardware and software.
  • Active participation in inventory audits.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities.
