Statutory & Compliance AccountantTechnique Recruitment Solutions are proud to be working alongside a global machinery and print manufacturer based in Norwich. A new opportunity has arisen for a Statutory & Compliance Accountant to prepare statutory financial statements, footnotes and draftcorporation tax returns, submit company VAT/GST returns (UK and overseas) and comply with UK/EU VAT and statutory regulations.This position is full time 38 hours per week with the opportunity of hybrid working after probationary period. As well as a competitive salary the company offers an excellent benefits package to include profit share scheme.The successful candidate will ideally be ACA, ACCA qualified or approaching finals with some post qualification experience in a deadline driven, multi currency environmentKey Accountabilities• Accuracy and integrity of accounting policies in adherence with FRS102• Provision of technical business support and guidance (subject matter expert)• Preparation of draft statutory financials statements, tax computations and supporting data• Accurate, on time VAT and statistical filings• Assist Management with preparing for, embedding and managing, new applicable legislationKey Duties and Responsibilities• Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and associated working files• Key support to Finance Manager for the annual audit and tax return process, liaising with external consultants as required• Work with FM to manage company accounting policies in line with accounting standards, providing business training and support • Preparation of draft tax returns, supporting data files and annual tax footnotes• Preparation and submission of all VAT/GST and compliance returns, managing associated control accounts• Continually monitor and advise on regulatory changes, working with management to prepare business for changes• Lead system change requirements for regulation and taxes, driving automation and innovation in these areas• Be a technical expert to the wider business, working in cross functional teams and projects • Assist with entity statutory financial reviews, provide support with local regulation changes as required• Manage R&D reclaim process• Prepare global accounting standard adjustments in line with group requirements (Multi GAAP environment)• Ensure global transfer pricing accuracy for all intra-group transactions• Work with cross functional business team to ensure compliance with business legislation (sustainability, CSR etc.), collectively ensuring administration of requirementsExperience• Statutory financial statement preparation • Providing VAT and tax advice (internal or external)• Working with external audit and tax teams• Providing financial support to non financial managers • Communication of legislation• Development and implementation of accounting processes and procedures• Strong fundamentals; UKGAAP/FRS102• Experience with Oracle Enterprise One good but not essential• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred but not essential
