Job Description

R13 recruitment are assisting a Norwich based financial services organisation in their recruitment for an enthusiastic and process-driven Software Tester to join their busy IT department and gain the experience to become an integral part of the testing team. The main purpose of your role will be to determine success criteria for requirements and developing lightweight test plans for products and applications across the team. You will ideally have experience of manual and automated testing using Agile development methodology, but have the drive and conscientious mindset to ensure products are delivered to the highest standards.Duties to include:

  • Determining success criteria for requirements and develop lightweight test plans.
  • Taking responsibility to ensure that standards and processes are maintained and improved.
  • Determine and drive the automation test strategy.
  • Automating test plans using agreed toolsets, reporting your findings back to your team.
    • You will have/be:
  • Experience of commercial software testing.
  • Commercial experience of testing desktop and web applications.
  • Strong experience in the Agile development methodology.
  • An analytical, methodical, conscientious and structured approach.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, skills and methodologies.
  • Cross browser testing experience would be advantageous.
    • This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
