Job Description

Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer based in Norwich. Due to continuous expansion and development they have 2 new opportunities for Shift Supervisors to join their flexographic label print team. As well as a competitive salary the company offers an excellent benefits package which includes a profit share scheme The successful candidates will work on an alternating day shift pattern:Week 1 - Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am - 2.30pmWeek 2 - Monday - Thursday 4.00pm - 00.30am and Friday 2.00pm - 8.30pm.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure labels are manufactured to the documented standard with the correct materials, appropriate press set-up and using suitable working practises.Ensure BRC standards are adhered to at all times and all incidents correctly recorded.Labels are tested in accordance with the correct procedure and presented the Production Control Team.Motivate and direct team members and assign work.Ensure a safe working environment is maintained in label manufacturing and associated storage areas and that safe working practices are adhered to in those areas.Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of the label manufacturing process.Ensure all departmental KPIs are achieved or exceeded.Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching & mentoring to develop and encourage good behaviour and best practice.
  • Support investigations into reports of incorrect or non-conforming materials, goods or stock to determine root cause and assist implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support production control as required to ensure correct storage of finished goods or presentation of finished goods to export.
  • Support production control as required to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming materials, plates, dies and consumables.

  • Responsible for monitoring direct reports for compliance with Company policies and cultivating a safe environment that makes employees hold one another accountable for their actions; monitor
  • holiday and other absences and carry out return to work interviews where appropriate.
  • Ensure direct reports are made available to complete any compulsory company training.
