Job Description

Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company working with our client who are a long established worldwide manufacturing company based in Norwich. Are seeking aService Operator on their rotating weekendday/night shift from a previous manufacturing background, this will be ongoing fulltime work.The hours cover every weekend, on a rotational shift pattern, with one weekday shift (static) every fortnight. The shift patterns are rotational: Earlies: 06:0018:00 Saturday and SundayLates: 18:0006:00hrs Saturday and SundayPlus one additional 12 hour shift worked on a weekday (to be confirmed) on alternative weeks.The roles are paid weekly, and the salary is £12.21 per hour, but with training the right candidate they could move up to the next role band & this would be paid at £13.22 per hourThe long term goal would be that these roles would become permanent.To be responsible for running the Production Machines in a safe manner and in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure that the machines are continually operating correctly and achieving optimum performance in terms of quality and output.To start and stop machines as required in a safe manner and attend to minor breakdowns on machinery escalating issues where appropriate to Setters or Maintenance personnel.1) Packing, Labelling, and Palletising of product in line with the SOPs relating to specific lines and products.2) Carrying out quality checks; involving hourly inspection of the product, quarantining and back checking components and completing associated documentation.3) Running machinery and attending to remedial line stoppages, minimising downtime throughout the shift.4) Safely starting and stopping injection moulding machines and auxiliary assembly equipment as per SOPs when required.6) Responding to emergency oil and water leaks/bursts on machinery ensuring the appropriate procedure is followed for stopping the machine depending on the severity of the leak before informinga Setter or member of the Maintenance Teamand assisting with the clean-up.7) Collecting materials and continually fill the hoppers throughout the shift as required.8) Emptying waste bins and recycling and weighing scrap.9) General housekeeping activities and ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy.10) Completing log books with BOM (Bill of Materials) details.11) Recording production in the respective log books and for new works orders on the new sheet.12) Recording traceability information in log books.Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist engineering recruitment company based in Norfolk
