Job: Senior UX / UI EngineerSalary: £45,000 + BonusLocation: NorwichOur client, a leading exponent in digital product content and virtual merchandising applications on a global scale, are looking to extend their talented team by bringing in board a new UX / UI engineer. Youll joining on of the world most trusted providers in digital content, that has been powering ecommerce solutions for over 20 years. Their mission is to enable exceptional consumer experiences, building cutting edge solutions to empower both internal and external customers.The role calls for a highly experienced UX / UI engineer who enjoys a fast paces innovative environment where the team strive to push the limits of traditional software design and development daily. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will take a leading role in designing user centric applications and attractive, easy-to-use products, helping to refine design /development processes and the tools required.Job Responsibilities- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites appear and how they function- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and buttons- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers- Prepare and present rough drafts to the rest of the team and key stakeholders- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback- Adhere to, help to design and drive forwards style standards on fonts, colours and images- Keep products focused on the user and prioritise a good UX- Work closely with and under the direction of engineering leads, product owners and solution architects- Consult with internal and external customers at all levels of the business as required- Feed into process improvement and highlight changes in design approaches- Be an advocate for the Engineering way and engineering productsYou will require experience with at least the following:- Adobe suite- HTML, CSS- Wireframe toolsIm sure youll agree, this is a fairly unique opportunity in Norwich to help influence and shape the way a globally recognised organisation utilises UX and UI to delivery customer centric software.
