Job Description

Are you naturally curious, creative, and motivated to deliver excellent web based user experiences Do you have the UI/UX know-how that lets you bring projects to life Rthirteen are currently working alongside a fantastic, Norwich based media company in order to recruit a Senior UI/UX Designer to join their team. Within this role you will own each stage of the design process, taking projects from initial concept through to final visual specification and ensuring each project delivers a customer-centric experience.This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking company, who understand the importance of a work/life balance. To be suitable for this role, you will have a portfolio showing your ability to deliver on the end-to-end design process across multipleweb based projects and be confident in your ability as a visual storyteller, who can champion user focused design.Duties to include:

  • Taking responsibility for projects throughout all stages of the development/design cycle from initial research through to testing and launch.
  • Ensuring products meet user/business needs.
  • Ensuring design decisions are driven by quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Carrying out user research to ensure the customer voice is present in design work.
  • Contributing ideas and actively engaging in daily team meets.
  • Documenting on best practices and methods on design principles, user-research and more.
  • Providing support to other members of the team and offer additional perspectives on art-direction.
  • Coaching, mentoring and delegation to a more junior team member
You will have/be:
  • At least 2 years experience in digital product design with a passion for delivering innovative products (including websites).
  • Proven experience working with Figma, InVision & Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Someone who can understand and champion user centred design and have a proven experience of collaborating with other design disciplines.
  • An excellent ability to tell a story visually and bring designs to life.
  • The ability to engage in usability testing and design iteration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An excellent team player who is eager to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Able to offer recommendations on the best tools and methods for UX/UI Design.
  • Experience with the Atomic Design framework would be desirable but not essential.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Thursday & til 4:00pm on Friday. The company offers 2 days working from home with 3 days in the office.
