Job Description

Our client, a highly recognisable organisation based on the North side of Norwich is looking to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer working 3 or 4 days a week. This role has responsibility for a number of companies including the primary trading company.An exciting time to join the company, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering all aspects of the payroll function to ensure multiple payrolls with a substantial number of employees are run effectively and efficiently.Principal Duties:

  1. Perform all activities necessary to process the payroll and ensure employees are paid on time.
  2. Maintain accurate and current payroll records by entering any changes to employee information and remuneration, and processing new starters and leavers.
  3. Calculating and paying all payroll liabilities including but not limited to net wages, PAYE, national insurance, pension contributions and attachment of earnings order deductions.
  4. Fulfilling reporting requirements to third parties including HMRC, pension scheme providers and the Pensions Regulator.
  5. Produce annual statutory payroll returns and other returns including P11Ds, P11D(b), P60s and pensions auto-enrolment.
  6. Resolve payroll discrepancies and answering all employee payroll and pension related queries.
  7. Meet the payroll reporting requirements of the business by producing both regular and ad-hoc payroll reports as requested.
  8. Ensure sufficient payroll record keeping is maintained at all times.
  9. Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures and statutory regulations (SSP, SMP, NLW, CJRS etc).
