Senior Manager Project QualityTechnique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are working with our prestigious client to recruit a Senior Manager toensure the delivery of projects to the highest levels of Quality, ontime and within budget.Role ObjectivesBuild, lead and develop a team of quality focussed, enthusiastic individuals who will drive quality activities through all phases of vehicle programmes/engineering projects.Own the definition of Quality deliverables within Lotus Product Delivery System (LPDS) ensuring they are clearly communicated and understood by all parties.Responsible for ensuring delivery of Quality deliverables for project milestones, driving departments to report a clear and evidenced status, on time.Own and continuously evolve the Quality Operating Plan (OPP) for new projects. Clearly identifying the required workstreams, milestones and dependencies for each project.Ensure project resource demand is generated from each OPP and overlaid with all projects to create a demand profile for the whole department. Liaising with departmental peers to ensure resource is identified and in place as appropriate.Create, gain approval, manage and report Quality budgets for each project, covering all elements of facilities/Tooling/Launch/Engineering (FTLE) throughout the life of the project.Responsible for developing a suite of clear KPIs/metrics for Quality activities throughout a project/vehicle programme in conjunction with the activity/department owners.Monitor and report activity status both internally up to Director level and also externally for client projects.Identify and resolve any roadblocks that may impact the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate.Manage departmental resource and workload to ensure all project milestones/deliverables are met on time and to budgetLead 3rd party Client liaison for quality related topics, ensuring customer expectations are understood and developing plans/agreements to deliver requirements.Manage interdepartmental conflicts ensuring the Quality of our products Is not compromisedDefine and implement clear working processes for the departmentProvide technical leadership as well as personnel managementCollaborate with other businesses within the wider Group to align processes & working methods where possible.ScopeThe role requires strong input all the way through the project to ensure the Quality of everything we do. A Customer Focussed yet pragmatic approach is essential to deliver in this roleKnowledgeExtensive experience in a relevant automotive manufacturer supported by formal Engineering Qualifications (Minimum HNC/D or equivalent);Project Management experience / qualificationsProven experience of delivering high quality products within an OEM or Tier 1 automotive environment.Excellent project management skills for timing, resource and cost;Proficient MS office software;Motivated and able to work autonomously & as part of a team;Excellent communication and negotiation skills, written & verbal;Cross functional teamwork skills;Engineering Degree or equivalent.Extensive knowledge of vehicle development processes.
