We are thrilled to be representing the Council, and their hunt for a senior maintenance & repairs assessor. This is a temporary position forecast to be ongoing for the next 6months.The Council is insourcing its repairs and maintenance services from April 22 to a new wholly owned company which is taking all environmental service delivery on from April 21. Currently these services are delivered via a JV – between Norwich City Council and Norse. In addition, the Council’s asset management services are also outsourced, and they are coming back into the organisation directly (not into the new wholly owned company), also from April 22.Key Requirements:• Track record of working in property management with a housing provider.• Experience of procurement, contract management.• Project management skills.• Delivering planned cyclical maintenance services and major works programmes at senior level.• Commitment to delivering resident focused services – improvement and value for money.• Understanding of roles and responsibilities, structure to deliver repairs, maintenance, and asset management services in-house.• Understanding of current and emerging landscape for social housing sector e.g., de-carbonisation/retrofitting options, use of technology, new fire/building legislation and practical requirements.• Driving best use/value from housing assets.• Supporting the design and development of the organisation structure required to deliver a new operating model for asset management and client management of repairs and maintenance services.• Experience of supporting staff to move to a new operating model.Due to the urgent nature of this role you will ideally need to be immediately available for work, and already have good experience working in a comparable role.Please feel free to contact for more information.
