Senior Mechanical Design EngineerTechnique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We are working with a Norwich based client who specialise in the motors and generators market. They are looking to further strengthen their DesignTeam to support existing product development and growthThe key responsibilities of the role include:Production of accurate manufacturing drawings.Production of full assembly drawings & parts lists from manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks PDMModifications and revision of design drawings.Ability to understand engineering materials, properties & manufacturing processes of these materials.Aid production with troubleshooting and design improvements.The successful candidate will have previously worked on themechanical design of motors and generators and have the ability to work the mechanical design calculations including:Ansys F E PackageStressFatigue – Analysis of critical componentsModal AnalysisFluid Dynamics to assist in final fan designRotor Dynamics (ARMD)Qualifications/ExperienceMinimum of HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related subjects.Experience in drawing office methods & practices combined with good factory floor knowledge of machining & assembly processes.Good all round knowledge of 2D/3D CAD systems as well as Microsoft Office.Experience with SolidWorks / SolidWorks PDM or similar CAD software.
