An initial 12-month fixed term contract with consideration for a permanent contract, this hybrid role (2/3 days in the office) as a Senior Buyer offers huge variety. You will need experience of public sector procurement, frameworks, and tender processes,but with that experience you will also get involved with supplier strategies, various projects, significant tender processes, and no one day will be the same.Responsibilities- Run and manage tender processes.- Develop sourcing plans.- Manage supplier relationships.- Develop internal relationships providing advice and strategic input across all departments.- Providing analysis and input to improve supplier performance, manage spend, improve quality, and manage risk.Key skills and attributes- Proven track record within a similar role and ideally CIPS qualified.- Understanding or public sector procurement processes.- Commercially astute and somebody who enjoys strategic procurement and performance improvement.- Excellent organisation and communication skills.- Analytical, problem solving mind-set and system / data savvy.As mentioned, this is a great opportunity to use your experience across multiple categories providing you with variety and challenge.Please apply or contact Tom Earl / Emily Colby at Pure for more information.
