Job Description

Are you interested in joining one of the worlds leading technology lifecycle management companies Well look no further.Serve Talent have teamed up with a thriving business based in Norwich who specialise in maintaining the lifespan of electronic technology and they are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to come in and join their ever growing IT department.Seeing their staff as an investment rather than a cost, this might not just be your next job but the next step into a long term career with an excelling business. They already have plans in place to double their workforce in the next three years.Here are the principal tasks of the job:

  • Assisting Solution Architects with design work.
  • Design, development and testing of enhancements, changes, integrations, APIs in line with external and internal customer needs and the enterprise architecture.
  • Providing third line support for live systems as required, within SLA.
  • Keeping relevant documentation up to date in Confluence.
  • Contribute towards the estimation and planning of client and internal work and communicating updates to Solution Architects and Project Managers.
  • Adherence to Agile working principles including use of / updating Jira.
  • Mentoring more junior developers
Heres some of the essential knowledge and skills required:
  • Proficient in English (Spoken and Written).
  • SQL Server 2012 including SSIS & SSRS, CLRs.
  • NET / C#
  • Git, xUnit, Jira, Visio and Confluence
  • Microservices.
  • Successful track record in SQL and application development.
  • At least 5 years experience as a developer / working with SQL.
  • At least 5 years experience with .NET C#.
