Job Description

Senior Architectural Technician Reference: ORNOR160Location: Norwich Salary Expectations: £30,000 - £50,000An exciting opportunity has come up for a Senior Architectural Technician to join a CIAT Registered Practice in Norwich. The successful candidate will have had previous exposure to the Residential and Commercial sectors whilst having the ability to run betweenprojects. My client is also looking for a Senior Architectural Technician who has a strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup.On offer is a competitive salary, the opportunity to be a part of a close-knit team who specialise in Architectural Design.Essential Requirements for this Senior Architectural Technician role:

  • 8-10 years experience
  • Production of full working drawings packages for small to large scale residential and commercial projects
  • Provide support to the team through the production of house types and planning packs.
  • CIAT registered but not essential
  • Individual who can run their own projects as well as a small team
  • The ability and experience running projects on site
  • Option for flexible working
  • Sound knowledge of UK building regulations and NHBC requirements
  • Liaise with Clients and Team whilst representing the practice
  • Play a key role in the development of all design proposals for RIBA stage 0-7 and be involved in project development across all stages
  • Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies - an understanding of the relevant planning policies and procedures for planning applications
  • A working knowledge of Sketch-up, InDesign and solid background in AutoCAD and ideally Photoshop and traditional drawing methods.
