Job Description

Seven Education is looking for an SEN Primary School Teacher, working on a long-term temporary basis initially, within a well-established Specialist Educational Needs school in Quidenham, Norfolk. This position will be required immediately and on a Full-time basis. £120 - £140 per day - depending on experience.The role:As a Primary Teacher; your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.To facilitate this, youll plan and deliver lessons according to DFE guidance and the schools policies and be responsible for the day to day running of the class and other relevant aspects of the running of the school.Youll supervise and provide support and guidance to our Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants and play a key role in their Professional Development Reviews.Naturally, you will take responsibility for implementing school policies and practices, including those relating to safeguarding and equality of opportunity. Additionally; you will also be expected to carefully monitoring the health, well-being and personal care of our pupils; informing care/medical/behavioural support teams and any other relevant professionals of any concerns.Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience: Experience in upper KS2, thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt this for pupils with SEND, experience working with young people with SEND, understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures, ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with young people, experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, to include the students with anxiety and SEND.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Enhanced DBS on Update service (Criminal records check) or being willing to complete one and be willing to undertake other Safer Recruitment and safeguarding checks, Covid-19 policy.
  • Travel: The ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 5 days a week.
  • Pay: Day rate to be confirmed depending on experience (£120 - £140 per day)
