Job Title: Resourcing AdviserLocation: NorwichSalary: £15,492 to £16,399 per year (Scale I)Job type: Part Time, 18.5 hours per week - Permanent.Location - County Hall, Norwich (With flexible working)We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service as a Resourcing Adviser, and play a key role in delivering and continually improving all aspects of our On-Call recruitment activity.Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service is an ambitious organisation that is committed to making Norfolk a safer place. We work at the heart of community safety and protection, providing a robust and resilient emergency response service and ensuring efficient supportto enable delivery of our emergency response.On-Call Firefighters are an integral part of Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service. 39 of our 42 stations have an on-call commitment, and as a result were constantly looking for people who live or work close to our stations to join us. Thats where this rolecomes in.The core focus of this role will be to deliver all stages of the On-Call Firefighter journey. We want to ensure were attracting and retaining the best talent, whilst enhancing both candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the process. Youll needto understand the challenges of recruiting On-Call Firefighters, and put in place plans to engage with both active and passive candidates, using a variety of methods and platforms to build long term, sustainable talent pools.Day to day, youll work closely with colleagues across Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service to understand service needs and challenges, and will need to proactively suggest solutions, working in partnership to deliver results. Youll engage directly with potentialcandidates to encourage applications and support longer term talent pipeline activity. Youll also be involved in the end-to-end assessment and onboarding process, working closely with managers and with NCC recruitment colleagues to deliver a robust and efficientprocess that maintains momentum throughout. At all times youll focus on providing a first-class candidate experience that helps position us as an employer of choice, which in turn will help reduce time to hire and overall vacancy numbers.To be considered for the role, youll need demonstrable experience working in a recruitment role, ideally with experience recruiting skills-shortage and/or hard to fill roles. Were open to people from either agency or in-house backgrounds, but youll needexposure across the full recruitment lifecycle, and will be comfortable with a wide range of sourcing techniques. Youll need strong communication and organisation skills, the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels,and a positive and proactive approach.
